UltraComp eBeads™ react with antibodies of mouse, rat and hamster origin and are independent of immunoglobulin light chain. They are designed to compensate for all lasers excited by ultraviolet (355 nm), violet (405 nm), blue (488 nm), green (532 nm), yellow-green (561 nm) and red (633-640 nm) lasers. Fluorescent dyes. Microbeads are spherical particles that can be stained with individual fluorescent dye-conjugated antibodies and can be used as single-color compensation controls.
Each drop of microbeads contains two populations: a positive population that will capture any mouse, rat, or hamster antibodies and a negative population that will not react with the antibodies. When a fluorescent dye-conjugated antibody is added to the beads, both positive and negative populations are generated. This bimodal distribution can be used as a single-color compensation control in multicolor flow cytometry experiments.
UltraComp eBeads are compatible with all fluorescent dyes excited by UV (355 nm) or violet (405 nm) lasers. They should be used with standard staining buffers containing PBS or HBSS, protein (eg BSA or FBS) and sodium azide. Do not use other additives.
