Dynabeads™ sheep anti-rat IgG is an affinity-purified polyclonal sheep anti-rat covalently coupled to the surface of microbeads 4.5 µm superparamagnetic beads of IgG. These beads can be used to isolate any cell from any species (except rat), depending on the specificity of the monoclonal rat IgG used. Dynabeads™ Sheep Anti-Rat IgG is particularly suitable for isolating cells from mouse samples (high cross-reactivity with mouse antibodies and very low cross-reactivity with human antibodies).

Rat may be Primary antibodies are added to the cell sample (indirect technique) or precoated to Dynabeads™ sheep anti-rat IgG (direct technique). Regardless of the technique used, when the cell sample is mixed with Dynabeads™ Sheep Anti-Rat IgG, the beads bind to the target cells. One or more rat primary antibodies can be used to remove unwanted cells from the sample (negative isolation), or to capture specific cells for molecular downstream experiments (positive isolation). For positive isolation of cells without beads (for example, for flow cytometric analysis), we recommend using your rat antibody in combination with the Dynabeads™ FlowComp™ Flexi Kit.
