Leibovitz L-15 Medium supports the growth of HEP-2 monkey kidney cells and primary tissue blocks from embryonic and adult tissues. L-15 is buffered with phosphate and free amino acids rather than sodium bicarbonate. This medium is suitable for supporting cell growth in a non-CO₂ balanced environment.

Use Leibovitz L-15 Medium
L-15 does not contain proteins, lipids or growth factors. Therefore, L-15 requires supplementation, usually 10% Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS).

Gibco™ L-15 is manufactured in a cGMP compliant facility in Grand Island, New York. The factory is an FDA-registered medical device manufacturer and is certified to the ISO 13485 standard. To ensure a stable supply chain, we also offer the same Gibco™ L-15 product (11415-049) manufactured in our Scottish factory. The latter is also a medical device manufacturer registered with the FDA and complies with the ISO 13485 standard.
