Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) is a balanced salt formulation suitable for a variety of cell culture applications, such as in dissociation Wash cells, transport cells or tissue, dilute cells for counting, and prepare reagents before. Before cell dissociation, the chelating agent needs to be rinsed from the culture using a formulation that does not contain calcium and magnesium. Each 5 g Gibco™ PBS tablet should be dissolved in 500 mL of distilled water. The pH will be 7.45 and no adjustment is needed.
