Dulbecco's Phosphate Buffered Saline (DPBS) is a balanced salt solution suitable for a variety of cell culture applications such as dissociation Before washing cells, transporting cell or tissue samples, diluting cells for counting and preparing reagents. Before cell dissociation, the chelating agent needs to be rinsed from the culture using a calcium- and magnesium-free preparation. Gibco™ DPBS in concentrate form requires pH adjustment and filtration when preparing (see Experimental protocol).
