Amanita "death cap" mushroom A class of toxins commonly used to selectively label F-actin in imaging applications. The binding properties of fluorescently labeled phalloidin to actin from different species, including plants and animals, are almost identical. Phalloidin binds to F-actin with high selectivity, while Alexa Fluor™ 594 provides red fluorescence with excellent brightness and photostability. Alexa Fluor™ 594 Phalloidin rarely causes non-specific staining and allows high contrast differentiation of actin staining.
Available in a variety of applicationsAlexa Fluor™ 594 Phalloidin can be used to visualize and quantify F-muscle in tissue sections, cell cultures, or cell-free preparations kinesin.
