Use PrestoBlue® Cell Viability Assay Reagent to obtain high-quality cell viability test results and save time instantly. PrestoBlue® is a ready-to-use cell-permeable resazurin-based solution that utilizes the reducing power of living cells to quantitatively detect proliferation and can be used as an indicator of cell viability. When added to cells, PrestoBlue® reagent is modified in the reducing environment of living cells, changing color to red and emitting strong fluorescence. This color change can be detected using fluorescence or absorbance measurements.
PrestoBlue® Cell Viability Assay Reagent can help you:
•Save time, the incubation step only takes 10 minutes.
•Achieve high-quality results over a wide dynamic range
•Experience the convenience of a uniform approach to pipetting and reading
•Monitor live cells and perform downstream functional assays
10 Minute Incubation
PrestoBlue® Cell Viability Assay Reagent is one of the few viable cell viability assays on the market that can typically provide reliable data in as little as 10 minutes after adding the reagent. All other resazurin-based cell viability assays on the market require 1-4 hours of incubation with the reagent to obtain data.
High-Quality Results
Depending on cell type and incubation time, PrestoBlue® Cell Viability Assay Reagent can detect as few as 12 cells/well in 384-well plates. After ten minutes of incubation, PrestoBlue® reagent can detect linearly down to 98 cells per well with Z' values exceeding 0.5.
Uniform assay format
PrestoBlue® Cell Viability Assay Reagent is a reagent that only requires the addition of sample. There is no need for cell lysis or solubilization steps required by other assays on the market, minimizing hands-on time.
Viability Cell Assay
PrestoBlue® Cell Viability Assay Reagent does not require cell lysis. Cells can be incubated for up to 24 hours in the presence of PrestoBlue® Cell Viability Assay. Further proliferation is possible simply by removing the reagent from the cells and replacing them with growth medium.
