Ambion® Whatman® FTA® cards are commonly used for the collection, transportation and storage of RNA and DNA in biological samples. RNA Rapid Extraction Solution is used to release RNA from paper prior to RNA isolation. Supplied in 10 mL bottles.

• Simply removes RNA from FTA® Insert the RNA rapid extraction solution into the card-punched real-time PCR prep reaction plate and stir for 5 minutes to release the sample for RNA isolation—while protecting the RNA from degradation. RNA can then be purified from the RNA Rapid Extraction Solution using the MagMAX™-96 Viral RNA Isolation Kit (SKU #AM1836). High-quality purified RNA suitable for quantitative RT-PCR or other downstream RNA applications. Whatman® FTA® cards are suitable for virtually any type of sample, including blood, cultured cells, buccal cells, plant material, bacteria, plasmids, microorganisms, solid tissue, viral particles, and more.
