CM-H2DCFDA is the chloromethane of H2DCFDA derivatives that can be used as indicators of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in cells. The retention rate of this indicator in living cells is much higher than that of H2DCFDA. CM-H2DCFDA can passively diffuse into cells, its acetate group is cleaved by intracellular esterase, and its thiol-reactive chloromethyl group interacts with intracellular glutathione and Other thiols react. Subsequent oxidation produces a fluorescent adduct that remains within the cell and therefore facilitates long-term studies.

ROS indicator quality standards:

•Excitation/emission wavelength: ∼492–495/517–527 nm
• Product is air sensitive and should be stored in dry argon or In nitrogen
• The product can be dissolved in DMSO, DMF or ethanol for use
• The indicator is permeable to cells (see the literature for cell loading protocols)
• Flow cytometer, fluorometer, micropore can be used Monitor the fluorescence signal with a plate reader or fluorescence microscope (equipped with an excitation light source and filters suitable for fluorescein)
