Endonuclease V, Thermotoga maritima (Endo V) Yes A 3'-endonuclease involved in DNA repair that removes deaminated bases, including uracil, hypoxanthine, and xanthine, from damaged DNA (SeeFigure 1).

Endonuclease V is also active against DNA molecules containing abasic sites, urea sites, base pair mismatches, forks and Y-like structures, and small insertions/deletions. The cleavage site of Endonuclease V ranges from the phosphodiester bond at the 3' end to the damage site.
