Thermo Scientific FastDigest NotI is one of a series of high-end fast restriction enzymes that are 100% active in both Universal FastDigest and FastDigest Green Reaction Buffers.

Universal buffer supports rapid single, double or multiple digestion of DNA in 5–15 minutes without the need for buffer changes or subsequent DNA purification steps. DNA modifying enzymes (such as Klenow fragment, T4 DNA Ligase, alkaline phosphatase and T4 DNA Polymerase) are 100% active in FastDigest buffer. Therefore, enzymes used in downstream applications can be added directly to the FastDigest reaction mixture.

For convenience, FastDigest Green Buffer includes 1 density reagent and 2 tracking dyes for loading digestion reaction products directly onto the gel.

Remarks: FastDigest Green Buffer has the same high performance as colorless FastDigest Buffer in DNA digestion reactions and downstream applications. For applications requiring product analysis by fluorescence excitation (eg determination of concentration under UV light), the use of colorless FastDigest buffer is recommended.
