PureLink™ Genomic DNA Miniprep Kit provides high yield, high purity of genomic DNA ( gDNA) extraction. Use this single kit to purify genomic DNA from blood, tissue, cells, bacteria, swabs and blood spots using the familiar silica microcentrifuge spin column format. Features of PureLink™ Genomic DNA Miniprep Kits include:
•Kit Flexibility—one kit can be used for a variety of sample types and formats
• Ultra Clean gDNA—Minimal contamination of the DNA product means successful downstream applications
• Improved Design—Optimized spin column design and buffer formulation for better results Yield and Purity
Multiple Sample Sources, One Kit
PureLink™ Genomic DNA Miniprep Kits are available for use with a variety of different sample types, each Each sample type has its own optimization protocol listed in the manual.
Optimized Components and Protocols
The PureLink™ Genomic DNA Miniprep Kit contains components and protocols based on simple, common spin column methods currently in use. Improvements (see picture). The column is newly configured to bind and release DNA more efficiently (see picture). Each sample source uses a dedicated lysis procedure and an optimized lysis buffer formulated to enhance proteinase K activity and eliminate protein contamination. Chaotropic salt buffers promote stable binding of DNA to the column resin, and powerful wash buffers remove all traces of protein and salts. DNA is eluted in a low-salt buffer to stabilize the pH of the DNA during storage.
Higher Yields and Purity
With PureLink™ Genomic DNA Kits, expect results regardless of sample type, from bacteria to tissue to blood to cultured cells. High yield of high-purity gDNA (determined by A260/A280 measurement) (see picture). Enhanced PureLink™ Lysis and Wash Buffers help deliver consistent delivery of purified gDNA samples, A260/A280 and A260/ The A230 absorbance reading ratios were all ∼1.9, indicating no detectable protein or guanidine residual contamination (as shown in the figure).
