GelCode Blue Stain Reagent is a ready-to-use protein stain based on colloidal Coomassie dye G-250 that detects nanogram-level proteins in polyacrylamide gels and in blots.

Features include:
• No need for methanol-acetic acid destaining
• Fast one-step staining in one hour, ready-to-use staining reagent; Band formation is observed in the staining tray; no background from overnight staining; flexible fixation and washing protocols; no gel shrinkage; stained gels can be dried
• Water washing improves staining sensitivity; optional step Provides a clear and transparent gel background, making weakly stained bands more visible

GelCode blue staining reagent only stains proteins, making the bands visible directly in the gel during the one-hour gel staining process. Since the destaining step does not fix the protein, GelCode Blue stain is compatible with mass spectrometry and N-terminal sequence analysis.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
GelCode Blue Staining Reagent contains additives that help slow down the formation of dye-dye and dye-protein polymers that form in all Coomassie dye-based protein staining reagents. However, if left undisturbed, this reagent will form visible dye-dye polymers and precipitate at the bottom of the bottle. Fortunately, these polymers can be completely dispersed by gently inverting or tilting the bottle a few times. Therefore, it is best to mix the staining reagents before pouring or dispensing to ensure a uniform reagent sample is used. Product Reference:
