Slide-A-Lyzer Mini Dialysis Cups (20K MWCO) Features:
Three convenient sizes—dialysis cups for 0.1, 0.5, and 2 mL samples Standard 1.5 mL microcentrifuge tubes, 15 mL and 50 mL conical tubes
Excellent sample recovery—Low binding plastic and smaller membrane surface area compared to filtration and resin systems Minimizes sample loss
One-step protocol—Use a pipette to draw sample into a mini cup and place it in a tube containing dialysis buffer; no laborious assembly required , device prep or expensive equipment
100% Leak Tested—Innovative design eliminates the "capillary siphoning" phenomenon that can occur in homemade equipment
Time Saving—Desalting nucleic acids and proteins (>95% recovery) takes less than 15 minutes, which improves sample resolution, quantitation, and binding

These 20K MWCO Dialysis Cups are available in three sizes (0.1, 0.5 and 2 mL capacity) and are designed to allow easy addition and removal of samples using standard laboratory pipettes. The mini dialysis cup can efficiently and conveniently complete typical sample desalting or buffer exchange in 4–8 hours. Unlike other small sample separation devices, it requires no assembly equipment, no syringe adapters, and no laborious steps to process small sample volumes. Regenerated cellulose membranes are compatible with a wide range of common chemicals and buffers.

Slide-A-Lyzer Mini Dialysis Cup was developed as a convenient method for dialyzing small volume nucleic acid and protein samples without excessive sample loss. Using these devices, low molecular weight contaminant removal, buffer exchange, desalting, equilibrium dialysis, micro-coupling reactions and concentration can be accomplished. Slide-A-Lyzer Mini Dialysis Cups are manufactured in a HEPA filtered/clean environment and automatically packaged after assembly to ensure they are free of contaminants and ready for use.

Insert the 0.5 mL and 2 mL mini dialysis cups into the supplied 15 mL and 50 mL conical tubes respectively and close the caps for installation. The tubes can be securely placed in standard laboratory racks or shakers; this feature saves space, minimizes the risk of leakage or contamination and eliminates the need for floats or labeled beakers of buffer. Low molecular weight contaminant removal, buffer exchange, and desalting can be accomplished in 4–8 hours using these mini dialysis cups, with efficiencies, rates, and recoveries very similar to conventional dialysis using larger dialysate volumes.

This 0.1 mL mini dialysis cup has a lid-fit design and can be inserted into a standard 1.5 mL microcentrifuge tube. Alternatively, up to 25 mini cups can be placed in the Slide-A-Lyzer Mini Dialysis Cup Float to dialyze multiple samples in a large beaker. Equilibrate 100 µL of glycine buffer, pH 2.8, with 1 liter of bicarbonate buffer, pH 9.4, in less than 10 minutes using a 0.1 mL mini dialysis cup.

As with all dialysis applications, the dialysis rate observed for each sample using this type of dialysis cup depends on a variety of factors, including membrane surface area to sample volume ratio; temperature and stirring rate; the concentration of molecules passing through the membrane Molecular weight, shape, hydration, and charge; and pH, ionic strength, and solvent properties of the buffer used.
