Thermo Scientific Pierce Protein A/G Magnetic Beads are high-performance affinity particles for antibody purification and immunoprecipitation methods (Use manual or automatic magnetic separator).

Protein A/G Magnetic Beads Features:

High Capacity — Nearly 4x the binding capacity of typical beads from other suppliers, per experiment Use less sample
Low non-specific binding — Stable, pre-blocked magnetic beads provide clean purification products (e.g., Antibody IP does not contain antigen eluted from complex IP Contaminating proteins in the matrix)
Flexibility—Containing both Protein A and Protein G IgG binding domains on one magnetic bead, very convenient
Compatibility b>—Magnetic beads are compatible with manual and automated applications (e.g., Thermo Scientific KingFisher instruments)
Assay consistency—Magnetic beads eliminate resin loss compared to traditional IP methods using only microcentrifuge tubes The separation efficiency is higher

These magnetic beads are coated with genetically engineered Pierce protein A/G, which is a recombinant fusion protein containing the IgG binding domains of both protein A and protein G. Capture antibodies from a wider range of species and isotypes than using Protein A or Protein G alone. Using our chemical cross-linkers, you can immobilize antibodies to magnetic particles and avoid IgG contamination of your immunoprecipitated samples. These beads can be used with magnetic stands for manual manipulation or on automated platforms such as Thermo Scientific KingFisher instruments.

Applications:
• IP and Co-IP experiments (see complete kit)
• Immunoprecipitation for analysis under non-reducing conditions
• Antibodies Purification

Pierce Recombinant Protein A/G immobilized on magnetic beads is formed by fusion of the IgG binding domains of Protein A and Protein G. Protein A/G contains four Fc-binding domains of Protein A and two Fc-binding domains of Protein G, making it a convenient tool for studying and purifying immunoglobulins. Therefore, Pierce magnetic particles are not simply a mixture of protein A and protein G peptides and then immobilized, nor are they a mixture of protein A magnetic beads and protein G magnetic beads.
