Learn more about CellLight™ fluorescent protein labeling toolsThis ready-to-use construct is transduced/transfected into cells using BacMam 2.0 technology, where it is expressed fused to human GFP at the C terminus of talin. You can observe talin-GFP behavior in living cells to image dynamic cellular processes using multiplexing or tracer dyes, and study focal adhesions of integrins and their interactions with actin microfilaments.
Cells expressing CellLight™ constructs can also be formaldehyde fixed for multi-pass imaging using immunocytochemistry techniques.
CellLight™ Technical Features:
•
Quick and Convenient: Simply add CellLight™ reagent to cells, incubate overnight, and then image—or freeze and store for subsequent experiments Use
•
Efficient: Transduction rates up to 90%, suitable for a variety of mammalian cell lines, including primary cells, stem cells and neurons
•
Flexible: b>In multiplex assay experiments or co-localization studies, multiple BacMam reagents can be co-transduced; expression levels can be tightly controlled by simply adjusting the dose

BacMam TechnologyCellLight™ Talin-GFP (BacMam 2.0) is human talin c Terminal and emGFP fusion constructs that accurately and specifically target cellular talin-GFP. This fusion construct, packaged in the insect virus baculovirus, does not replicate in human cells and is designated Biosafety Level (BSL) 1, making it safe for use in most laboratories. BacMam technology transduces/transfects most mammalian cell types with high efficiency and ultra-low toxicity. This transient transfection assay lasts up to five days from overnight incubation—sufficient for most dynamic cell analyses. As with all transfection/transduction techniques, the BacMam method does not transfect/transduce all cells with equal efficiency and is therefore not well suited for cell population studies or automated imaging/counting. CellLight™ reagents are ideal for cellular or subcellular co-localization experiments, as well as studies of cellular function that require exceptional resolution.
