Cell Stimulation Cocktail (500X) is phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate (PMA) and ionomycin mixture. Treatment with PMA and ionomycin is sufficient to induce activation and cytokine production in many cell types. This mixture can be used to induce cytokine production inin vitrocell cultures for subsequent detection using immunoassays. Can also be used with Protein Transport Inhibitor Cocktail (500X) (Cat. No. 00-4980) to determine intracellular retention of induced cytokine expression.
