Thermo Scientific Pierce Activated Peroxidase and Antibody Labeling Kits are specifically designed for the preparation and purification of monomers with previously unmodified Anti- or secondary antibody (IgG)-conjugated HRP-conjugated antibody.

Features of Activated Peroxidase and Antibody Labeling Kit:

•Activated HRP – Horseradish peroxidase is activated by glutaraldehyde and can be directly Couples to primary amine (e.g., lysine) sites on antibodies and other proteins
• Permanent Coupling – Reacts with primary amines to form covalent amide bonds, eliminating the need for a reducing step to stabilize the coupling Lianjian
• High Activity HRP – Enzyme activity is greater than 200 U/mg; lyophilized powder, stable for at least 12 months at -20°C
• Convenient Dosage – Each 1 mg of active enzyme is sufficient to react with 0.3 mg of IgG, producing approximately 0.5 mL of conjugate

Activated peroxidase is a glutaraldehyde-activated HRP enzyme that contains the reaction The chemical group spontaneously binds to the amine on the antibody (or other protein). By incubating activated peroxidase and IgG with sodium carbonate buffer (pH 9.5), the resulting HRP conjugate has both enzymatic activity and IgG antigen-binding activity. The antibody labeling kit includes activated peroxidase and protein A/G columns and buffers to purify antibody conjugates and remove excess unreacted HRP enzyme.
