This is An easy-to-use, purified 10% (w/v) solution of NP-40 detergent for use in a variety of routine and demanding protein research methods and molecular biology techniques. NP-40 is a nonionic polyoxyethylene surfactant that is often used as a component of cell lysis buffers or other solutions to extract and solubilize various proteins. Surfact-Amps Detergent Solution (10% w/v) provides exceptional purity, quality and stability. Unlike pure detergents, which are highly viscous, Surfact-Amps 10% solution is easy to pipette and dispense accurately. Carefully prepare and package surfactant solutions in glass ampoules or non-leaching HDPE bottles under nitrogen to ensure their stability and that peroxides and degradation products do not accumulate.
