Thermo Scientific Pierce IP Lysis Buffer targets cell lysate yield, purity, and immunoprecipitation (IP and Co-IP) Optimized for compatibility as downstream applications related to cell lysates.
IP Lysis Buffer Features:
• Optimized for compatibility with a variety of immunoprecipitation and pull-out assays
• Compatible with a variety of protein assays, reporter gene assays and immunoassays Procedure Compatible
• Ready-to-use formula for efficient extraction of cytoplasmic, membrane, and nuclear proteins
• Mild formula helps maintain protein complexes for co-immunoprecipitation
• Does not release chemicals that can cause high sample viscosity Genomic DNA
IP Lysis Buffer is a mammalian whole cell lysis reagent based on a modified RIPA buffer formula (without SDS). This medium-strength lysis buffer efficiently lyses cellular proteins without releasing genomic DNA or disrupting protein complexes like regular RIPA buffers. Pierce IP Lysis Buffer is specially formulated for use in a variety of pull-out assays and immunoprecipitation assays.
Pierce IP Lysis Buffer effectively lyses cultured mammalian cells from plate cells and cells pelleted from suspension media. This lysis buffer is optimized for use in a variety of pull-out assays and immunoprecipitation assays and is compatible with many other applications, including Thermo Scientific Pierce BCA and 660 nm protein assays, protein purification, and various immunoassays such as ELISA, Western blot ).
Pierce IP Lysis Buffer consists of 25 mM Tris-HCl pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl, 1 mM EDTA, 1% NP-40, and 5% glycerol. This buffer does not contain protease or phosphatase inhibitors; however, if desired, various inhibitors, such as Thermo Scientific Halt Protease Inhibitor Cocktail or Phosphatase Inhibitor Cocktail, can be added prior to use to prevent proteolysis and preserve protein phosphorylation. .
