Thermo Scientific GeneJET Plant RNA Purification Miniprep Kit is designed for rapid and efficient purification of high-quality RNA from a variety of plant species and tissue types. Designed for high quality total RNA.

The kit uses silica membrane technology in a convenient spin column format, eliminating the need for expensive resins, toxic phenol-chloroform extraction, or time-consuming alcohol precipitation. After cell lysis, the standard procedure takes less than 20 minutes. Purified, high-quality RNA can be used in a variety of downstream applications such as RT-PCR, RT-qPCR, Northern blotting, and other RNA analyses. RNA production varies between species, tissues, and age of tissue samples. See Table 1 for typical total RNA yields from different sources.
