ReadyProbes® Cell Viability Imaging Kit (blue/green) is a ready-to-use assay that quickly and easily Determine cell viability. Simply add 2 drops each of room temperature stable NucBlue® Live Reagent (Hoechst 33342) and NucGreen® Dead Reagent to 1 mL of cell growth medium and determine cell viability by counting total and dead cells. NucBlue® Live reagent stains the nuclei of all cells and can be detected using standard DAPI filters. NucGreen® Dead Reagent stains only the nuclei of cells with compromised membrane integrity and can be detected using a standard FITC/GFP (green) filter set. This kit is suitable for fluorescence microscopy, fluorescence microplate readers and flow cytometry analysis.

NucBlue® Live Reagent: Stains nuclei of all cells; detects using standard DAPI filters (maximum excitation/emission wavelength: 360/460 nm)
NucGreen® Dead Reagent: Stains only the nuclei of dead cells with damaged cell membranes; detects using standard FITC/GFP (green) filter set (maximum excitation/emission wavelength: 504/523 nm )

Usage recommendations
• NucBlue® Live and NucGreen® Dead reagents can be added directly to cells in complete growth medium or compatible buffers.
• In most cases, 2 drops/mL and an incubation time of 5 to 30 minutes will stain nuclei brightly; however, optimization may be required for some cell types, conditions, and applications. In this case, simply add more or less droplets until the best stain intensity is achieved.
